The purpose of the search suit is a compromise between a high level of protection with maximum mobility. Used in any sweep search for possible IED’s or where potential hostile ballistic threat might exist. So it has the ability to change the protection type or level depending on the situation. This is done by either inserting ceramic tiles in the front and back or attaching blast plates to the front of the suit.
